GFF is a short-term fellowship program that promotes collaborative actions between strategic public, private, and community sector leaders. GF Fellows will engage in a series of knowledge exchange and knowledge upgrading activities, to build multi-sectoral networks, identify synergy areas, and consolidate learnings into a practical ‘action roadmap’ that will drive impact on a certain issue area.

Each GFF edition will take on a different thematic area.

GFF 2023 will take place in May in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and focus on the topic of Achieving Food Security Amid Global Tensions.

The costs of return flight and accommodation during the Yogyakarta Residencies will be fully covered.

GF Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in a series of knowledge exchange and upgrading activities, to build multi-sectoral global networks, identify synergy areas, and consolidate learnings into a practical ‘action roadmap’, which will be coordinated with key decision-makers. The ‘action roadmap’ is a concrete form of contribution that GF Fellows make to help guide key players in a common direction.

GF Fellows will receive a Certificate at the program's culmination.

We also expect GFF's impact to extend beyond the program’s end-date. The Action Roadmap and the created global network will be a launchpad for scaled, sustained, and impactful collaborations.

Per ‘collaborative governance’, we look for proportional public, private, and community sector representations. We look for leaders with strong track record in the energy transition space and demonstrated commitment to implementing ‘future-fit’ ideas.

GFF is a short-term program, running in May 2023 located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Chosen Fellows will need to commit five days as part of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Residency. Sessions range from Panel Talks, Masterclasses, Collaborative Team Discussions, to Site Visits. Some sessions will offer general skills and knowledge, while others provide more specific insight on different aspects of food security.

An Action Roadmap for Indonesia’s sustainable and just energy transition is expected at the GFF’s culmination. The roadmap will be coordinated with key decision-makers to guide players in a common direction.

GFF is free of charge.

The organizers will cover fellows’ costs of return flight, accommodation, and GFF agenda-related transport cost.
